At least my Fuji doesn’t freeze and don’t have to wait 6 months until I get it back for repair.I sold my Q for being too big , too heavy and brick like .My X100 VI does street work much better!

Such an awesome video, Daniel. I’m an introvert and traveling is much harder for me these days. I remember traveling through the southwest 28 years ago on a road trip and wish my love for photography would have been as strong as it is today. Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Nevada it was spectacular! If I went today, it would be so much different from an artistic perspective.

What a great video bro , I live in an area where I need to travel to meet other creators and very hard to link up with other photographers. So when I see a person who’s getting into it dude I geek the hell out. I love coffee and I love cameras I can talk about it all day. At the end of the day no one is perfect all you need is listen and help if needed. People who judge people and taking them for their own benefit are complete asshats.

I’ve accepted the fact that I’m not an extrovert and I’m not going to be a professional photographer (a la Vivian Maier). I’ve stopped shooting things I think others will like and only started shooting things, scenes, and moments that are significant to me. I don’t care if other people will see the image as boring or simple, for me that moment will be a memory of my life.

We need more community.

went to a photowalk with one of the bigger stores in Seattle. I love Seattle and I also understand how we are sometimes with the whole Seattle freeze thing people say (born and raised in a city close by) but man the amount of why are you using that, upgrade to this, or just the obvious only black dude at the photowalk vibes, were just so ass. I was blessed to have my girlfriend buy me a Leica for my Masters graduation, and the oh how did you afford that questions were wild! Or the that's a waste of money, you could have gotten xyz. Just not a good time overall. lol It was a one and done for me, but I came across a FB page that did photo walks, and they were the sweetest people I ever met. It's honestly a shame that the store's walk was like that, but it all comes down to the people, I can't blame the store because they just advertised it, but man did it turn me off from the business entirely.

I want to do more photowalks with my local community, I just do it for fun but I don't know where to find people in my area to do walks with. I do want to get out more(maybe also when the triple digit weather cools down too). I tried FB but it was full of people looking for paid work or were full of conspiracies so Im not entirely sure what to do. I wonder if Threads is a good place for looking for these types of meetups.

Content is cool. Creating art on your own is cool. But community... is everything. We're humans that yearn for connection.

That cameras and coffee club sounds so sick, followed all those accounts on IG I hope I can make it to the next one.

What's the advantage of a camera like this over a phone though? You can't really get shallow DOF with it, right?

Not only is the XH2s an excellent camera but it saves you a lot of money. They have some incredible fast and sharp lens. And the 3rd party lens support is off the chart. Viltrox and Sigma alone make some amazing cheap lens for this camera. I use the XH2s exclusively for video and night photography and the XT5 for all other work.

I am a 100% still photographer, and I love this camera. I love the size and the battery for me lasts all day with my primarily OVF shooting. The controls are wonderful. I do value the 40 megapixels. A f2.8 the lens is paired perfectly with the sensor. At f2, the lens can’t fully resolve the sensor. Not a big deal for me. That being said, UHS-I is just Fuji being cheap. When I travel I often just plug my camera into my laptop or phone, and it would be far better if the off loading of photos would be faster. For your use, I completely understand that reasonable expectation.

Where did you find this two-color Coolpix A? I only know them in silver or black. I have one in silver, but this one looks extremly good.

Current price on Amazon is $798 and it doesn't have very good reviews.

Bought mine in 2012 new, still going no problems.

Dee, I really enjoyed your video. I'd like to seek your advice on making a Leica purchase to compliment what I have at this time. I am an amateur photographer shooting mostly street and documentary style photos that skew toward narrative photos styles inspired by artists such as Rinko Kawauchi, Raymond Depardon, Todd Hido, etc... as style reference. I currently shoot with Fuji X-T4m Fuji X-H2 and also a NIkon F3. I am thinking of trading in the X-T4 and a few lenses in order to upgrade to a Leica. Would you say that Leica M (looking at 10 or 11) would be a big step? or should I go with a Q3 (a bit pricey for a point and shoot. also would it be somewhat similar to my X-H2?). I will still keep my X-H2, but is weighing to go with either a Q or M system. Since you seem to be more invested in Fuji system now, I figure you can provide some insight from a Fuji user perspective. Thanks.

personally, i don't care. i just started learning and doing photography after finally getting my own camera for decades. back then, i didn't have the time or money. but, i always though it would be cool to own a camera and doing photography. it's kinda the same for cycling. when i bought a mtb, there are literally jerks online bashing my bike. when i bought a fixie or road bike, it's the same. so it's not just in photography. there're idiots everywhere who thinks their bikes or camera better then yours. all i want is to have fun and hope to share it with anyone who have same interests. lol
